   In the Name of God Amen I John Gooding of Kent
   County in the State of Maryland being Sick and Weak in Body but
   thanks be to God of Sound disposing sense and Memory, I do make
   and Ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in Manner –
   and form Following Vizt, — — — ——    ——
   First _ I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Brewer Wife __
           of James Brewer one Shilling sterling & no more of my estate__
   Secondly__I Give and Bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Jones Wife of
           Jacob Jones one shilling and no more of my Estate — —
   Thirdly__ I Give and Bequeath unto my Son William Gooding One shilling
           Sterling and no more of my Estate — —   — —
   Fourthly___I Give and Bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Berry Wife
           of John Berry one shilling Sterling and no more of my Estate
   Fifthly___I Give and Bequeath unto Rebekah Benton Wife of James
           Benton one Shilling and no More of my estate — —
   Sixthly__ I Give and Bequeath unto Rachel Bird Wife of Edward —
           Bird one Shilling sterling and no more of my Estate —
   Seventhly I Give and Bequeath unto my wife Sarah Gooding all my
           estate, and do revoak and Disannul all wills by me —
           heretofore made as Witness whereof, I have this 22nd. day
           of April 1785_ Set my hand and affixed my Seal — —

   and declare the same to be his last will and Testmt that at the Time of his
   so doing he was to the best of his Apprehension of Sound disposing mind
   and Memory and understanding and that Morgan Hurt the other Subscri=
  =bing witness was present at the same Time & Signed his Name as a Witness
   to this will in the presence & at the request of the Testator & in the presence
   of each other —
