     In the Name of God Amen this twentieth day of November
   in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and Eig[hty]
   one I James Breward of Kent County and State of Maryland being
   very sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory, Tha[nks]
   be given unto God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my
   Body, and that it is ordained for all men once for to die, do make an[d]
   ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to say principa[lly]
   and first of all I Commend my soul into the hands of God that gave
   it and my Body to the Earth to be buryed in a Christian manner, —
   And as for such worldly Goods and Estate wherewith it hath pleased
   God to bless me with in this life I dispose of the same in manner &
   for following. I give and bequeath unto Martha Breward my wife
   the plantation whereon I now dwell being Scituate on a Tract of L[and]
   called Chance by her freely to be possessed and Enjoyed during her
   natural life. Item I give and bequeath unto my three lawfull. —
   Children after the decease of Martha Breward my wife the said tra[ct]
   of Land called Chance to be equally divided between them all, and
                     either
   if in Case may^ of them Should die without lawfull Heirs, it is to be
   divided equally between the other two. Item I give and bequeath unt[o]
   my Wife Martha Breward my Crop of Corn that shall be on my —
   dwelling plantation at the time of my decease, and then my Will is
   that all my Moveable Estate be equally divided between my three
   Children, I do hereby make and ordain this my last Will & Testamen[t]
   In Witness whereof I have hereto put my hand & Seal the day and
   year above Written ——                                           his
    Signed Sealed & Acknowledged in                 James X Breward {seal}
   the presence of us the Subscribers by                        mark
   said James Breward to be his last           his                   his
