30 DAYS AFTER PRESENTATION, DISAPPROVE ANY RULE OR
REGULATION IF HE DETERMINES THAT IT:

(I)   WOULD DISCOURAGE COMPETITION WITHIN A
LICENSED OR REGULATED OCCUPATION OR PROFESSION;

(II)  WOULD UNFAIRLY RESTRICT ENTRY OF
APPLICANTS INTO A LICENSED OR REGULATED OCCUPATION OR
PROFESSION; OR

(III) IS OTHERWISE CONTRARY TO THE PUBLIC
INTEREST.

(3) THE SECRETARY MAY REQUEST DIVISIONS,

BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, OFFICES OR OTHER AGENCIES WITHIN THE
JURISDICTION OF THE DEPARTMENT TO REVISE OR REPEAL ANY RULES
OR REGULATIONS WHICH:

(I) WOULD DISCOURAGE COMPETITION WITHIN
THE LICENSED OR REGULATED OCCUPATION OR PROFESSION;

(II) WOULD UNFAIRLY RESTRICT ENTRY OF

APPLICANTS TO A LICENSED OR REGULATED OCCUPATION OR

PROFESSION; OR

(III) IS OTHERWISE CONTRARY TO THE PUBLIC
INTEREST.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

(Senate Bill 892)

AN ACT concerning

Election Laws - Gifts to Voters

FOR the purpose of deleting the criminal prohibition against
the keeping of a facility where victuals are given
gratuitously to voters before the close of the
election; and deleting a provision for apportionment of
certain fines imposed for the giving of any gift to
voters with informers.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
