out-of-county students enrolled in these programs;
requiring the State Board for Community Colleges to pay
certain other fees and administer funds for this

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

16-104.

(i) (1) The board shall coordinate relationships among
the community colleges to:

[(1)] (I) Assure the widest possible educational
opportunities for students in this State;

[(2)] (II) Facilitate the transfer of students
between the community colleges and the University of
Maryland, the State universities and colleges, and other
institutions of higher education; and

[(3)] (III) Assure the most efficient use of
State money.

(2) THE BOARD MAY:

(I) DESIGNATE ANY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM AS A STATEWIDE OR REGIONAL PROGRAM;

(II) ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR
COMMUNITY COLLEGE INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM.
