SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed, amended, or
enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

7-412.

(a) (1) Each county board [shall] MAY offer
instruction in the safe operation of a motor vehicle to high
school students who are 15 years old or older.

7-412.1.

(a) (1) The General Assembly shall continue to
evaluate the cost effectiveness of the driver education
program in this State and the validity of continuing State
support of this program.

(2) If no action to the contrary is taken by the
General Assembly by July 1, [1979] 1983, § 7-412 of this
subtitle is repealed and subsection (b) of this section is
effective, both to take effect July 1, [1980] 1984.

(b)  Each county board [shall] MAY provide a program of
driver education to eligible students in accordance with the
provisions of Title 16, Subtitle 5 of the Transportation
Article.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Property Tax Credits - Cumberland Outdoor Club, Inc.

FOR the purpose of granting a property tax credit against
county, city, and special taxing district providing for
an exemption from a credit against county and city
taxation for real and tangible personal property owned
by the Cumberland Outdoor Club, Inc.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
