AN ACT concerning

Queen Anne's County - Volunteer First Aid,
Rescue, and Ambulance Squads

FOR the purpose of excluding reimbursement for mileage
charges used to defray operating costs of equipment
from fees or compensation.

BY adding to

Article 43 - Health

Section 132A(f)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

132A.

(F) FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE, A REIMBURSEMENT FOR
MILEAGE CHARGE USED TO DEFRAY THE OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE
COST OF EQUIPMENT MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A CHARGE, FEE, OR
COMPENSATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

Approved May 1, 1979.
