THESE THREE OFFICERS, NOT MORE THAN TWO SHALL BE RESIDENTS
OF THE SAME COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
(Merit System Provisions)
MC/PG 12-79

FOR the purpose of providing corrective and clarifying
amendments in the Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission merit system and specifying which
employees shall be included in the system, the
qualification of appointees of the Merit Board, and the
preparation and review of merit system plans and
regulations; and removing obsolete language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 66D - Maryland-National Capital Park and

Planning Commission
Section 2-112(a), (b), and (c)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1978 Replacement Volume)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 66D - Maryland-National Capital Park and
Planning Commission

2-112.

(a) The Commission shall put into effect a merit
system adopted pursuant to this section. In it shall be
included all [the full-time] employees of the Commission,
except the commissioners[, the executive director, the
secretary-treasurer, the general counsel, the director of
planning, the director of parks and the director of public
relations] AND ALL APPOINTED OFFICIALS AS PROVIDED IN
§2-106.
