Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
appointive positions; and providing residence
requirements for various officers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 66D - Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission

The Commission shall appoint AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, [a]
AND secretary-treasurer, [who] BOTH OF WHOM shall be [a]
bonded [official] OFFICERS, AND a general counsel [a
director of planning, a director of parks, and a director
of public relations. The director of planning and the
director of parks may not be residents of the same county.
If such a position is deemed by the Commission to be
necessary, it shall appoint a director of land acquisition.

departments and] shall serve at the pleasure of the
