AN ACT concerning

Forest and Park Land - Leases

FOR the purpose of exempting, from redemption of a tenant,
certain leases into which the Department of Natural
Resources enters for certain State forest and park
lands without express provision for redemption.

BY adding to

Article - Natural Resources
Section 5-207(c)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

5-207.

(C) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, A
LEASE INTO WHICH THE DEPARTMENT ENTERS AFTER JULY 1, 1979
FOR ANY LAND ACQUIRED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE IS NOT SUBJECT TO
REDEMPTION OF THE TENANT, UNLESS THE LEASE EXPRESSLY
PROVIDES OTHERWISE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Plumbing - Water Conserving Fixtures

FOR the purpose of altering the date by which approved water
closets are to be installed, as necessary, in certain
buildings; and making this Act an emergency measure.
