STATEMENT OF THE CONDUCT THAT CONSTITUTES FRAUD AND SHALL
SIGN AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT THAT HE OR SHE UNDERSTANDS THAT THE
PENALTIES FOR FRAUD, AS PROVIDED IN ARTICLE 27, § 230A(B) OF
THE CODE, ARE RESTITUTION AND A POSSIBLE FINE OF NOT MORE
THAN $1,000, OR IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE THAN 3 YEARS, OR
BOTH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Hunting — Open Season

FOR the purpose of deleting changing the set date by which
the Department of Natural Resources is required to
promulgate annually the open season for hunting forest
and upland game birds and mammals.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

10-405.

(a) Pursuant to § 10—205, the department shall
establish by rule or regulation and publish [by April 253
JUNE BY JULY 1 each year the open season, excepting Sundays,
to hunt the forest and upland game birds and mammals.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
