LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 20

Attorney, the deputy State's attorney and the assistant
State's [attorney] ATTORNEYS shall perform acts and duties
in relation to all criminal proceedings, all having the same
legal powers as the State's Attorney, to represent the State
in all proceedings in relation to grand jury, circuit court,
the District Court, boards, commissions or agencies of this
State or any county or political subdivision.

(5) The State's Attorney may not engage in the
private practice of law at any time in any jurisdiction
during his tenure of office.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, it shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 838)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County Code - 1978 Edition

FOR the purpose of legalizing the 1978 Edition of the
Baltimore County Code as published by the Municipal
Code Corporation and approved by J. Carroll Holzer,
Baltimore County Solicitor; making the same evidence of
the Charter, rules, regulations, resolutions and
ordinances purporting to be contained therein; and
making this Act an emergency measure.

WHEREAS, By Chapter 354 of the Acts of 1968, the
General Assembly legalized and made evidence of the law the
1968 Edition of the Baltimore County Code; and

WHEREAS, The 1978 Edition of the Code has been compiled
and edited by J. Carroll Holzer, Baltimore County
Solicitor, and is to be published by the Municipal Code
Corporation; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the 1978 Edition of the Baltimore County
Code, compiled and edited by J. Carroll Holzer, County
Solicitor, and published by the Municipal Code Corporation,
be and the same is hereby legalized and shall be deemed and
taken in all the courts of this State and by all public
