REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION, OR LICENSURE WHO REQUESTS THE
USE OF THE INTERPRETER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

CHAPTER 98

(Senate Bill 221)

AN ACT concerning

Subdivision Plats - Recording

FOR the purpose of requiring for recordation in every
county, that a subdivision plat be signed and sealed by
a surveyor registered in this State.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Real Property
Section 3-108(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume, and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Real Property

3-108.

(e) [Except in Caroline County, each] EACH plat shall
be signed and sealed by a [registered land surveyor. In
Montgomery County and Prince George's County, the] surveyor
[shall be] registered in the State [by the State Board of
Registration for Professional Land Surveyors].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

Approved May 1, 1979.
