SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-506.

(a) A bailiff shall receive the compensation provided
in this section. Unless otherwise provided, the amount is a
per diem sum for each day he attends the circuit court.

(22) Washington County—[$5] $15.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

(House Bill 443)

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Driver's License

FOR the purpose of providing that a learner's permit shall
expire 3 months after date of issuance; deleting
obsolete provisions of the law pertaining to the
issuance and renewal of the 2-year driver's license;
and providing that an expired driver's license may be
renewed without taking the driving test if renewal is
made within 6 months after the expiration date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
