RESOLUTION OF

BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS OF MIDDLETOWN

A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE

STATE OF MARYLAND

TO AMEND THE CHARTER

RESOLUTION of the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown, adopted pursuant to the authority of Article
11-E of the Constitution of Maryland, and Section 13 of
Article 23—A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, as contained
in 1973 replacement volume to the 1957 Edition, title
"Corporations—Municipal", sub-title "Home Rule", sub-heading
"Charter Amendments", to amend Chapter 20 of the Frederick
County Code (1959 Edition), sub—title "Middletown" so as to
add thereto a new sub—section to be known as sub—section
(17) of Section 20—6 entitled "Powers and duties of burgess
and commissioners generally", to authorize and empower
Burgess and Commissioners of Middletown to borrow money for
any public purposes and to issue tax anticipation notes,
general obligation bonds, revenue bonds or bonds secured
primarily by revenues from projects and secondarily by the
general obligation of the Town; to sell said notes and bonds
at public sale or private negotiated sale in the discretion
of the Burgess and Commissioners, said notes to mature not
later than ten years from date of issue.

[Section 20-6(17) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick County, added.
