RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION for the annexation of certain property
located along Hudson Street, including a Charter Amendment
to amend the City boundaries; re—enacting all other
provisions of Section 1(a) of the Charter not inconsistent
with this amendment; correction of boundaries of the City;
and all matters relating generally thereto.

WHEREAS, Alexander J. Vouzikas, the fee simple owner of
the property hereinafter described has requested the Mayor
and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to consider annexation
of the said property to the lands included in the corporate
limits of the City of Annapolis, and there are no persons
residing within the area proposed for annexation; and

WHEREAS, the proposed annexation and charter amendment
have been duly advertised and hearing held in accordance
with the provisions of Article 23A and Article 66B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis has heard the evidence presented to it in public
hearing in connection with the said proposal and has
determined that such annexation would foster the continued
growth and prosperity of the City and be conducive to the
orderly development of the municipality and lands contiguous
and adjoining thereto in a manner most beneficial to the
community and its residents, property owners and citizens;
and

WHEREAS, the said property presently carries a zoning
classification of "W—2" under the Zoning Regulations of Anne
Arundel County.

[Section 1(a) of the Charter of the City of Annapolis,
Anne Arundel County, repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
