AN ACT concerning

Maryland Register - Certain Public Notice Procedures

FOR the purpose of altering the procedure concerning certain
required public notices contained in the Maryland
Register; and clarifying certain language in the law
pertaining to that procedure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and

Administrative Departments
Section 256F(e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1978 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor - Executive and
Administrative Departments

256F.

(e) If the text of an adopted rule is substantially
similar to the text of the proposed rule, the [administrator
may insert] PROMULGATING AGENCY SHALL PUBLISH in the
Register a [notation] NOTICE to this effect giving a
reference to the date of the Register containing the
proposed rule AND INDICATING THE CHANGES BY SYMBOLS
DETERMINED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
