House Bill 667.

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County — Gambling Contraband

FOR the purpose of adding Frederick County to the list   of

other counties in which money or currency seized     in

connection with any arrest for gambling is forfeited   to
local governments, counties, or the State.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 677.

This bill adds Frederick County to   others in which

money or currency seized in connection with     an arrest for

gambling is forfeited to local governments,   counties or the
State.

House Bill 410, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 14, 1979 accomplishes the
same purpose on a statewide basis, rather than locally.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
677.
