Honorable Benjamin L. Cardin
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404
Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 667.
This bill extends the hours of sale of beer, wine and
liquor in Dorchester County and generally relates to the
sale of those beverages in the County.
Senate Bill 695 also was enacted by the General
Assembly. That bill, which also relates to the sale of
alcoholic beverages in Dorchester County, has a provision
that sets forth hours for the sale of beer under a Class A
beer license that is in direct conflict with a provision of
this bill.
