AS A CONDITION PRECEDENT TO THEIR TAKING EFFECT, ANY
ADMINISTRATIVE OR OTHER FORMULAE OR STANDARDS WHICH ARE
PROPOSED BY THE BOARD FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING THE
PROPORTIONATE SHARE THAT EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION SHALL
PAY TOWARDS ANY EXPENSE OR OBLIGATION INCURRED BY THE
COMMISSION MUST:

(1)    HAVE THE APPROVAL OF THE PUBLIC SECTOR
REPRESENTATIVE OF EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION; AND

(2)    EXPRESSLY TAKE INTO ACCOUNT AND GIVE
PROPORTIONATE WEIGHT TO THE FOLLOWING FACTORS:

(I)    THE CURRENT INVESTMENT IF ANY, OF
EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION IN THE FACILITY, OR ONE
SUBSTANTIALLY SIMILAR IN PURPOSE, UNDER CONSIDERATION; AND

(II)   THE PROPORTIONATE SHARE OF EXPECTED
USE BY RESIDENTS OF EACH POLITICAL SUBDIVISION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Pensions — Former General Assembly Members

FOR the purpose of allowing certain former members of the
General Assembly to become members of the retirement
system that became effective July 1, 1966 upon making
a certain contribution; and clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 73B — Pensions
Section 11 (13)
Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
