SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
continuity of the Board is retained. The personnel,
records, files, furniture and fixtures and other properties
and all appropriations, credits, assets, liabilities, and
obligations of the previously existing Board are continued
as the personnel, records, files, furniture, fixtures,
properties, appropriations, credits, assets, liabilities,
and obligations of the Board created by this Act under the
laws enacted by this Act.
SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect on July 1, 1979 AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED,
That this Act is declared to be an emergency measure, and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
health and safety and having been passed by a yea, and, nay
vote supported by three—fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, it shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT concerning
Toll Facilities — Regulation of Dangerous Articles
FOR the purpose of including radioactive materials in the
dangerous articles prohibited by the Maryland
transportation Authority from being transported across
any vehicular crossing; adding toll highways to the
facilities on which the Authority may regulate
transportation of dangerous articles; and renaming this
subtitle.
