AN ACT concerning

Tri—County Council of Southern Maryland -
(Cooperation with State Agencies)

FOR the purpose of mandating that the Tri—County Council of
Southern Maryland cooperate with State departments and
agencies in general; deleting the requirement that the
cooperation be with certain named departments and
agencies; and clarifying language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 20 - Tri-County Council of Southern Maryland

1-104.

(a)    The Council shall cooperate with [at least the
following] State departments and agencies[:

(1)    Department of State Planning;

(2)    State Office of Economic Opportunity;

(3)    Maryland Department of Economic and
Community Development;

(4)    State Department of Transportation; and

(5)    Department of Natural Resources],

(b)    It shall submit for approval plans and projects
of the Council in which [those] THE departments or agencies
have statutory functions and responsibilities.
