(2) (G) ANY PERSON APPOINTED AS AN OFFICIAL ON OR
AFTER JULY 1, 1979, WHO IS EMPLOYED LESS THAN 130 DAYS PER
YEAR, SHALL BE INELIGIBLE FOR FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
(2) (G) CREDITABLE SERVICE IN THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM MAY NOT__BE GRANTED TO ANY PERSON APPOINTED AS AN
OFFICIAL ON OR AFTER JULY 1, 1979, FOR THAT__PERIOD DURING
WHICH THE PERSON WORKS FEWER THAN 130 DAYS PER YEAR. THIS
PROVISION DOES NOT APPLY TO OFFICIALS OF MUNICIPAL
CORPORATIONS.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning
Resident Abuse
FOR the purpose of protecting making abuse of the residents
of mental health facilities and mental retardation
facilities, from abuse by certain—other persons;—making
such abuse a criminal offense and providing penalties;
requiring the reporting of suspected abuse; extending
immunity to those who report suspected abuse in good
faith; requiring—prompt investigation of reports of
abuse; defining certain terms; and relating generally
to the abuse of residents or certain these facilities
who by virtue of their mental or physical condition and
separation from family and community at large are
vulnerable to abuse.

Section 35B, to be under the new subheading
