Ch. 688

(A) THE PRIVATE GROUP OR LARGE PRIVATE GROUP HOME
SHALL COMPLY WITH ANY GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCES APPLICABLE
TO THE AREA IN WHICH IT IS LOCATED TO THE EXTENT SET OUT IN
SECTION 60 62 OF THIS SUBTITLE. HOWEVER, SPECIAL ZONING
EXCEPTIONS OR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS OR PROCEDURES MAY NOT
BE REQUIRED FOR THESE FACILITIES HOMES. FOR THE PURPOSES OF
ZONING, A PRIVATE GROUP HOME SHALL BE CONCLUSIVELY PRESUMED
TO BE A SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE AND SHALL BE PERMITTED IN
ALL RESIDENTIAL ZONES, AND A LARGE PRIVATE GROUP HOME SHALL
BE PERMITTED IN ALL AREAS WHERE MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL USE
IS PERMITTED. ANY GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE WHICH CONFLICTS
WITH THIS SECTION SHALL BE SUPERSEDED BY THIS SECTION.

(B) THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION RELATING TO ZONING,
APPLY ONLY TO THE PRIVATE GROUP HOME OPERATED BY A NONPROFIT
PERSON, ASSOCIATION, CORPORATION, OR OTHER ORGANIZATION, AND
NOT TO ANY OPERATION BY ANY PERSON FOR PROFIT AS A BUSINESS.

ANY PERSON, GROUP, OR ORGANIZATION AGGRIEVED BY A FINAL
DECISION OF THE SECRETARY MAY APPEAL TO THE BOARD OF REVIEW
OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 206B OF ARTICLE 41 OF THIS
CODE, ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY A FINAL DECISION OF THE BOARD
OF REVIEW MAY APPEAL TO THE BALTIMORE CITY COURT OR TO THE

CIRCUIT COURT OF THE COUNTY IN WHICH THE HOME IS OR WILL BE

LOCATED. APPEALS MAY BE TAKEN FROM THESE COURTS TO THE
COURT OF SPECIAL APPEALS OF MARYLAND. ALL APPEALS SHALL BE
GOVERNED BY THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 255 AND 256 OF
ARTICLE 41 OF THIS CODE, AS AMENDED FROM TIME TO TIME
(ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURE ACT - JUDICIAL REVIEW).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

Life Insurance — Policy Loan

FOR the purpose of exempting weekly premium ordinary
insurance from the requirements of the automatic
premium loan provisions of life insurance policies; and
requiring notice of policy termination by registered
