of the records for each article pawned [must] SHALL be
submitted to the Maryland State Police within [twenty—four]
24 hours after the article has been accepted.

247E.

[No] AN article [shall] MAY NOT be accepted by a pawn
shop without THE PREPARATION OF a numbered pawn ticket
[being prepared] for [the] THAT article. Part of the ticket
shall be given the pledgor of the article and part shall be
retained by the pawn shop. The part retained shall contain
the signature and address of the pledgor. Each article
shall be marked with the number of its pawn ticket. [No] A
pawn shop [shall] MAY NOT accept any article from any
pledgor under the age of [twenty-one] 18. [No] A pawn shop
[shall] MAY NOT sell any item accepted as security within
[fifteen] 15 days after taking possession of the article.

247F.

Any person violating the provisions of this subtitle is
guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to a fine of not more
than [one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) ] $1,000 [and such],
THE violation is grounds for revocation of [their] THAT
PERSON'S license.

Plumbers

248.

(a) [There is hereby created the] THE Calvert County

Plumbing Board [which shall have the duties and powers to
adopt rules and regulations pertaining to the plumbing

business in Calvert County. The Board] IS CREATED AND

[shall consist] CONSISTS of three [(3)] members who shall be

selected by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the

Senate, from a list of five [(5)] persons submitted by the

members of the Master Plumbers Association residing in

Calvert County. Membership on the Board shall be restricted

to persons who are registered Master Plumbers engaged in the

plumbing business in Calvert County for at least three [(3)]

years preceding their appointment. Terms of members shall

be for two [(2)] years and members- appointed to fill
vacancies
—occurring—during—any term shall hold office for

the unexpired portion of term. The members of the Board

shall appoint an Inspector of Plumbing, who shall receive
[such] WHATEVER compensation as [shall be fixed from time to
time by] the Calvert County Plumbing
—Board[,—which—said]

SHALL SET. THE INSPECTOR'S compensation shall be paid from

the fees of applicants for certificates or permits, and

[shall] MAY not exceed the sum or sums so collected. The

board shall set all fees and make all regulations pertaining

to the plumbing business in Calvert County.

(b) The Plumbing Board shall [have the authority and

the duty to create] PROMULGATE a system of rules and

regulations and submit for adoption [said] THOSE rules and
