HARRY HUGHES, Governor
1859
[146.]
[All funds derived from the issuance of licenses as
aforesaid and all funds received in the form of fees from
seizure and impounding of dogs as aforesaid shall be turned
over to the County Treasurer not less than once each month
and shall become a part of the general funds of the County. ]
(Note: The provisions of this section seem to be
placed logically in Article 56, Section 197. This section
is proposed to be placed in that section as a new subsection
(e) , therefore.)
[147.]
[Whenever the County Commissioners of Calvert County
are of the opinion that the health, welfare and safety of
the citizens of Calvert County require, the Commissioner may
by resolution provide for quarantine of all dogs, and they
may make such further rules and regulations concerning dogs
as they may deem necessary,]
(Note: This section is proposed for repeal and its
provisions are to be transferred to Article 56, Section 200
of the Annotated Code.)
[148.]
[The County Commissioners of Calvert County shall have
the power in their discretion to make from time to time all
necessary rules and regulations for the sale of dog
licenses, the keeping of records of such licenses, and the
convenient and effective enforcement of the provisions of
this sub—title.]
(Note: This section is proposed for repeal and its
provisions are to be transferred to Article 56, Section 200
of the Annotated Code.)
[149.]
[Any person violating or refusing to comply with any of
the provisions of this sub—title or any rules or regulations
passed in pursuance thereof, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned in the County
jail for not more than sixty (60) days, or both. It shall
be the duty of the State's Attorney, the dog warden, and his
deputies to prosecute all persons found violating the law by
refusing to comply with its provisions.]
(Note: This section is proposed for repeal inasmuch as
its provisions are covered substantially by Article 56,
Section 199. That section is being amended by this bill to
reflect the slight variance in the provisions relating to
Calvert County.)
