[113A. ] 113.

(A)    The judge of the Seventh Judicial Circuit
resident in Calvert County, subject to approval by the Board
of County Commissioners of Calvert County, may appoint a
competent secretary who has had previous experience in
secretarial work, involving duties that demonstrate the
ability to make rapid and accurate transcripts and to
exercise independent judgment.

(B)    The secretary's salary shall be paid by the
County Commissioners [of Calvert County] in accordance with
the scale for comparable employment established by [the
County Commissioners of Calvert County] THEM.

(C)    [Nothing herein contained shall] THESE PROVISIONS
DO NOT prevent two or more judges from employing the same
secretary.

114.

There are five County Commissioners for Calvert County.
THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE [The] president of the Board [shall
receive an annual salary of] IS $12,500, and THE ANNUAL
SALARY OF each of the associate members of the Board [shall
receive an annual salary of] IS $10,000.

At the general election to be held in Calvert [county]
COUNTY on the Tuesday [next after] FOLLOWING the first
Monday of November, 1978, there shall be elected five County
Commissioners. One shall be selected from the First
Election District, one from the Second Election District,
one from the Third Election District of the county. Of the
remaining candidates, the two receiving the highest number
of votes shall be selected. Each Commissioner shall hold
office for [four] 4 years [and] OR until his successor shall
be elected and qualified.

116.

The County Commissioners, [are authorized and directed ]
at their first meeting after their election and
qualification, [to] SHALL elect by a majority vote one of
their number TO BE THEIR president. [who] THE PRESIDENT
shall serve until his successor is elected and qualified.
