SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

828.

(b) (4) IN PREPARING LIMITS AND REGULATIONS, THE
DEPARTMENT MAY NOT PROHIBIT SKEET AND TRAPSHOOTING AND OTHER
TARGET SHOOTING ON RANGES OR OTHER PROPERTY IN FREDERICK
COUNTY WHERE THE RANGE OR OTHER PROPERTY HAS BEEN APPROVED
FOR THESE SPORTING EVENTS BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND
ZONING OF FREDERICK COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Harness Racing Tracks — Capital Improvements
Deductions from Betting

FOR the purpose of providing that certain harness racing
licensees may retain a certain percentage of certain
multiple mutuel betting pools for capital improvements
to the racetrack, subject to the approval of the
Harness—Racing—Board; providing for a certain time

limitation; granting the Harness Racing Board certain

powers; and generally relating to capital improvements

to certain harness racetracks. changing the deductions

from the betting at one of the harness racing tracks

for a limited period of time and specifying the uses
for this additional allocation at the track; and
clarifying language.
