PERIOD OF 1 YEAR FROM THE DATE THE REPORT IS DUE, AND UNTIL
THE REQUIRED REPORT IS FILED PROPERLY.
(e) This section may not be construed to authorize
slot machines or any type of coin machines to be used for
gambling purposes.
(1) ANY ORGANIZATION WHICH OPERATES A BINGO,
RAFFLE OR PADDLE WHEEL BUT WHICH HAS NOT ACQUIRED THE PROPER
LICENSE, OR ANY ORGANIZATION AND ANY PERSON WHO SIGNED AN'
APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE BUT FAILED TO ADHERE TO THE TERMS
OF THE GRANT OF THE LICENSE, OR ANY ORGANIZATION AND ANY
PERSON WHO FAILED TO FILE THE PROPER REPORT AS REQUIRED BY
THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND SHALL BE FINED
NOT MORE THAN $1,000 OR SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR NOT MORE THAN
30 DAYS, OR BOTH.
(2) EACH DAY THAT A RAFFLE, BINGO GAME, OR
PADDLE WHEEL IS OPERATED WITHOUT A PROPER LICENSE OR IN
VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE TERMS OF THE GRANT OF THE LICENSE
SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE.
(f) [The constables, bailiffs, municipal police
officers and all other prosecuting and peace officers of
Harford County are charged strictly with the enforcement of
this section. ] THE State Police, SHERIFF OF HARFORD COUNTY,
MUNICIPAL POLICE WITHIN HARFORD COUNTY, AND PEACE OFFICERS
OF HARFORD COUNTY SHALL ENFORCE THIS SECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 19 79.

AN ACT concerning
State Teachers' Retirement System —
Tax Sheltered Annuities
FOR the purpose of deleting provisions that permit the State
Teachers' Retirement System to permit a local board of
education to adopt a tax sheltered—plan through a
custodial account with investments in regulated
investment company stock - requiring the cost of
administering custodial accounts to be provided from
the funds invested in the accounts; deleting provisions
that permit a member of the State Teachers' Retirement
System to transfer certain money under the system to a
qualified, tax sheltered commercial plan or custodial
