SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 48A — Insurance Code

174A 234B.

(E) ANY INSURER OR AGENT THAT ACCEPTS BROKERAGE
BUSINESS AND REJECTS THE BUSINESS OF A BROKER SHALL PROVIDE
TO THE INSURANCE COMMISSIONER AND THE BROKER, UPON REQUEST
OF THE BROKER, THE REASONS IN WRITING FOR THE REJECTION.

SECTION 2- AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

Maryland Housing Fund - Insuring Cooperative Unit

Mortgages

providing that the term "mortgage" includes loans to
finance or refinance the purchase of stock or
membership or to rehabilitate units in a cooperative
ownership housing corporation; and clarifying the power
of the Maryland Housing Fund to insure loans.
