FOR the purpose of creating a Tidewater Administration
within the Department of Natural Resources; removing
the Coastal Zone Management Program from the Energy and
Coastal Zone Administration and placing it within the
Tidewater Administration; and generally relating to the
Tidewater Administration.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

1-102.

(a) The following units are included within the
Department:

(1)   The   Fisheries Administration

(2)   The   Wildlife Administration

(3)   The   Natural Resources Police Force

(4)   The   Forest Service

(5)   The   Park Service

(6)   The   Water Resources Administration

(7)   The   Maryland Environmental Service

(8)   The energy [and coastal zone]
administration, which shall include the power plant siting
and research program, the Bureau of Mines, the mining
examining board, the Maryland Commission on Mining Laws and
the Land Reclamation Committee

(9)   The Maryland Geological Survey

(10)   The Maryland Geological Survey Commission

(11)   The Maryland State Board of Well Drillers

(12)   The Scenic River Review Board

(13) The Upper Potomac River Commission
