SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the passage
of this Act is contingent upon the passage of 9lr1028 SB 384
of 1979. Should that measure fail of enactment, the
provisions of this Act are null and void without the need of
further action by the General Assembly.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning
Motor Vehicles - Hearings
FOR the purpose of permitting a person accused of unsafe
driving by another person to require the Motor Vehicle
Administration to summon the accuser; and requiring the
accuser to testify—under—oath and be subject to
cross examination; and requiring a notice of hearing to
inform an accused person of certain rights.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

(2) The legal authority and jurisdiction of the
Administration to hear the matter;
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
