Commission shall consist of [seven (7)] 11 members, each of
whom shall serve for a term of [three (3)] 3 years. [Of the
members first appointed, one (1) shall serve for a term of
one (1) year, three (3) shall serve for a term of two (2)
years and three (3) shall serve for a term of three (3)
years.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That of the four
members appointed under this Act, one shall serve for a term
of 1 year, two shall serve for a term of 2 years, and one
shall serve for a term of 3 years. Thereafter, all members
shall serve a term of 3 years.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Eastern Shore State Hospital - Laundry

FOR the purpose of directing the Department of Fiscal
Services to estimate the present cost of laundry
service for the Eastern Shore State Hospital; requiring
the taking of competitive bids for the laundry service;
and requiring the Hospital to use the least expensive
acceptable laundry service.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

(E) (1) IN THIS SUBTITLE THE WORD "HOSPITAL" MEANS THE
EASTERN SHORE HOSPITAL CENTER.
