(6) EACH MEMBER OF THE COMMITTEE:

(I)   SERVES WITHOUT COMPENSATION; AND

(II)    IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES
FROM THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION COMMISSION IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS.

(C) CHAIRMAN AND OFFICERS; MEETINGS.

(1)   THE GOVERNOR SHALL DESIGNATE A MEMBER OF THE
COMMITTEE AS ITS CHAIRMAN.

(2)    THE COMMITTEE MAY DETERMINE THE TIME AND
PLACE OF ITS MEETINGS AND MAY ADOPT RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF
ITS MEETINGS. HOWEVER, THE COMMITTEE SHALL MEET AT LEAST
ONCE EVERY 3 MONTHS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 77,
§137(a), except the third clause of the first
sentence, which is deleted as obsolete, and the
third clause of the second sentence.

The present reference to the initial appointees
is deleted as obsolete.

21-306. DUTIES OF COMMITTEE AND WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION
COMMISSION.

(A)   COMMITTEE.

(1)               THE INJURED WORKERS' REHABILITATION
COMMITTEE SHALL ADVISE THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION COMMISSION
ABOUT THE REHABILITATION OF EACH INJURED WORKER, WHETHER OR
NOT THE WORKER IS ELIGIBLE FOR WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION.

(2)          ACTING THROUGH THE COMMITTEE, THE MEDICAL
ADVISER TO THE DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION MAY
ADVISE THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION COMMISSION ON THE
EFFECTIVENESS OF THE TREATMENT GIVEN TO ANY INJURED WORKER
WHO HAS BEEN REFERRED BY THE REHABILITATION PROGRAM.

(B)   COMMISSION.

THE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION COMMISSION:

{1) SHALL ESTABLISH A REHABILITATION PROGRAM;
AND

(2)    MAY EMPLOY THE NECESSARY REHABILITATION
COUNSELORS AND CLERICAL STAFF TO REVIEW ALL REPORTS AND
CLAIMS.

(3)   SHALL SELECT FROM THE REPORTS AND CLAIMS
FILED WITH IT THOSE FOR WHICH VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION
APPEARS TO BE APPROPRIATE;
