412 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 22 (A) "CHILD" DEFINED. IN THIS SECTION "CHILD" MEANS A LEGITIMATE CHILD, AN (B) ESTABLISHED. THERE IS A PROGRAM OF SCHOLARSHIPS THAT ARE AWARDED (C) QUALIFICATIONS OF RECIPIENT. (1) A CHILD MAY APPLY TO THE STATE SCHOLARSHIP (I) WAS A RESIDENT OF THIS STATE AT THE TIME OF (II) WAS DECLARED TO BE A PRISONER OF WAR OR (2) THE CHILD SHALL BE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD (I) UNDER 24; OR (II) IF THE CHILD SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES, (D) AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP. A RECIPIENT OF A SCHOLARSHIP UNDER THIS SECTION MAY NOT (E) USES OF AWARD; ELIGIBLE INSTITUTIONS. (1) MAY BE USED FOR: (I) TUITION AND MANDATORY FEES; (II) ROOM AND BOARD; AND (III) BOOKS AND SUPPLIES; AND (2) MAY BE USED AT ANY INSTITUTION APPROVED BY (I) AN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION;
