EXPENSES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77A, §9D.

The first sentence of present Art. 77A, §9D(a),
which sets up an independent board for the
community college is deleted as obsolete.

The fourth and fifth sentences of present Art.
77A, §9D(a), which relate to the terms of the
initial appointees are deleted as obsolete.

The last sentence of present Art. 77A, §9D(a)
which provides for the selection of a chairman of
the Board is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the similar, generally applicable provisions of
§16-202 of this title.

16-509. HARFORD COUNTY — BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

(A)       COMPOSITION.

THE BOARD OF COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRUSTEES FOR HARFORD
COUNTY CONSISTS OF SEVEN MEMBERS. OF THE MEMBERS:

(1)    EACH SHALL BE A RESIDENT OF HARFORD COUNTY;

(2)       FIVE SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR
UNDER §16-201 OF THIS TITLE FOR TERMS OF 5 YEARS; AND

(3)       TWO SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE HARFORD COUNTY
BOARD OF EDUCATION FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS FOR TERMS OF 1
YEAR.

(B)       TWO TERM LIMIT.

A MEMBER OF THE BOARD APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR MAY NOT
SERVE FOR MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE 5 YEAR TERMS.
