ACTUAL STATE SHARE UNDER §16-403 OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR THE
PRECEDING FISCAL YEAR, WHICH SHALL BE COMPENSATED FOR IN THE
NOVEMBER PAYMENT.

(B) PAYMENT.

WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER HE RECEIVES A CERTIFICATION FROM

THE STATE BOARD FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES, THE STATE

COMPTROLLER SHALL DRAW A WARRANT ON THE STATE TREASURER FOR

THE AMOUNT DUE EACH COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THE STATE TREASURER

IMMEDIATELY SHALL PAY THE AMOUNT DUE TO THE BOARD OF

TRUSTEES OF THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 77A, §7(c).

In subsections (a)(3) and (4) of this section,
the present requirement for "full settlement at
the end of the fiscal year and on the audit of
the community college" is changed to provide for
an allowance to be made in the November payment.
This conforms with current administrative
practice.

16-406. PAYMENT OF COUNTY SHARE.

(A)   CERTIFICATION TO COUNTY TREASURER.

THE STATE BOARD FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES SHALL CERTIFY TO
THE TREASURER OF EACH COUNTY:

(1)   ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30 AND MARCH 31 OF
EACH YEAR, ONE HALF OF THE AMOUNT IT ESTIMATES TO BE THE
COUNTY'S SHARE UNDER §16-403 OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)   AFTER THE ANNUAL AUDIT OF EACH COMMUNITY
COLLEGE, ANY DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE PAYMENTS MADE AND THE
ACTUAL AMOUNT OF THE COUNTY'S SHARE UNDER §16-403 OF THIS
SUBTITLE FOR THE PRECEDING FISCAL YEAR, WHICH SHALL BE
COMPENSATED FOR DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.

(B)   PAYMENT.

WITHIN 5 DAYS AFTER IT RECEIVES A CERTIFICATION FROM
THE STATE BOARD FOR COMMUNITY COLLEGES, THE COUNTY SHALL PAY
THE AMOUNT DUE TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE COMMUNITY
COLLEGE.

sentence of Art. 77A, §7 (d).

The present references to Baltimore City are
deleted as unnecessary in light of §1—101 of this
article, which defines "county" as including
Baltimore City.

The present reference to "regional community
