Appointment of Members; Filling of Vacancies, Chairman"
of Division 3, title "Sign Review Board", all to
provide for automatic resignation of membership on
certain boards, committees, commissions, and panels for
certain appointed officials who are absent from 25% of
the scheduled meetings within any six-month period
unless such resignation is waived under certain
circumstances and to provide for the appointment of a
successor and to generally cure certain technical
defects.

Chapter 29

AN ACT to repeal and reenact, with amendments, Section
5 3-19, title "Schedule of Fare Sates", and Section
53-31, title "Hours of Operation" both of Chapter 53,
title "Taxicabs and Limousines", of the Montgomery
County Code 1972, as amended, to provide for an
increase in the taxicab fare schedule within Montgomery
County and to provide a waiver from the extra passenger
charge for senior citizens; and to allow owners of
taxicabs to withdraw some vehicles from service with
the approval of the Department of Transportation during
the period July 1 through Labor Day.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Chapter 27,
title "Human Relations and Civil Liberties" of the
Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, by repealing
and re-enacting with amendments, Article I, title
"Commission on Human Relations," Section 27—1 through
27-7 thereof to provide the inclusion of age or marital
status in all subsections thereof; to provide
appointment, membership, term, and duties of Commission
panels; to provide for compensation of Commissioners;
