Chapter 7

AN ACT to amend Chapter 53, title "Taxicabs and limousines"
of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, by
repealing and re-enacting with amendments Section
53-13, subtitle "Retirement of Vehicles; Maintenance
and Repair" to add a requirement which permits a waiver
to the age and mileage limit of taxicabs or limousines
by the Director of the Department of Transportation
upon a written finding that such vehicle passed a
safety inspection conducted in accordance with certain
standards to be established by the County Executive.

Chapter 8

AN ACT to amend Chapter 24, title "Health and Sanitation",
Article III, thereof, title "Health Systems Agency", by
repealing and reenacting with amendments various
subsections thereof to redesignate the "Department of
Health Systems Services" as the "Department of Health
Systems Planning" by making certain technical changes
and by amending various subsections to delete the
requirement that the County Council and the County
Executive approve the Health Systems Plan and Annual
Implementation Plan provided hereunder and to
substitute in lieu thereof the requirement that the
County Council and County Executive review, comment and
make recommendations on the Health Systems Plan and
Annual Implementation Plan; and to provide the County
Council and the County Executive the opportunity to
review certain actions of the Health Systems Planning
Board.
