before the first day of July in each year; re—enacting all
other provisions of Section 44 of the City Charter not
inconsistent with this amendment and all matters relating
generally thereto.
WHEREAS, Article 81, Section 32 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland provides that municipal corporations shall make
tax levies on or before the first day of July in each year;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Charter be
changed to conform to the said provision.
[Section 44 of the Charter of Annapolis, Anne Arundel
County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

A RESOLUTION FOR ANNEXATION OF
D.C.I. INDUSTRIES, INC.
CHARTER AMENDED AND ZONING CLASSIFICATION
FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG
EDGEWOOD ROAD AND ALL MATTERS
RELATING GENERALLY THERETO
WHEREAS, D.C.I. Industries, Inc., the contract
purchaser and equitable owner of the property hereinafter
described has requested the Mayor and Aldermen of the City
of Annapolis to consider annexation of the said property to
the lands included within the corporate limits of the City
of Annapolis, and all of the record title holders have
consented thereto, and there are no persons residing within
the area proposed for annexation;
AND WHEREAS, the proposed annexation and charter
amendment have been duly advertised and hearing held in
accordance with the provisions of Article 23a and Article
66b of the Annotated Code of Maryland, and the procedures
for placing an appropriate zoning classification upon the
said property have been followed;
AND WHEREAS, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis have heard the recommendations of its Planning and
Zoning Director and of the Planning and Zoning Commission of
the said city upon the proposed annexation and zoning
classification;
AND WHEREAS, the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis have heard the evidence presented to it in public
hearing in connection with the said proposal and have
determined that such annexation would foster the continued
growth and prosperity of the City and be conducive to the
orderly development of the municipality and land contiguous
and ad-joining thereto in a manner most beneficial to the
