in the Order.

(b)    Every purchase or lease of such space
which is entered into on or after the date of
this Order shall be processed in accordance with
the guidelines established in Executive Order No.
01.01.1973.10, issued August 10, 1973, regarding
the Management of State Office Space.

(c)    Every leasehold interest in such
space which is in effect prior to the date of
this Order, whether leased in the name of the
local department of social services or any other
local agency or unit, shall be renewed or
renegotiated in accordance with the guidelines of
Executive Order No. 01.01.1973.10, at the end of
the current leasehold term, excluding any option
period that has not yet commenced. Any option to
purchase, renew, or renegotiate shall be
exercised in accordance with the guidelines
established in Executive Order No. 01.01.1973.10.

2.     All space occupied by a local department of
social services in accordance with paragraph 1.
shall be managed pursuant to the guidelines of
Executive Order No. 01.01.1973.10.

3.     The Department of General Services shall
seek the cooperation and assistance of the
Department of Human Resources and the local
department of social services in order to insure
that the conversion of a current leasehold
interest to the State management system shall
take into consideration any local factor or
variance, the continuation of which is necessary
to the successful operation of programs by the
local department.

4.     The Department of Human Resources and the
local departments of social services shall
cooperate with the Department of General Services
to insure that expenditures for space do not
increase as a result of the conversion of local
leasehold interests to the State management
system established in Executive Order No.
01.01.1973.10.
