VETOES

This bill specifies that, in Somerset County, payments
to jurors on a per diem basis is to be considered expense
money.

Senate Bill 812, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 16, 1978 increases the per
diem of jurors in Calvert and Somerset County, but does not
specify that the money is expense money.

The sponsor of this bill has advised me that he would
prefer the increased compensation rather than its
designation as expense money.

For this reason, I have decided to veto House Bill
2008.

Sincerely,
Blair Lee III
Acting Governor

House Bill No. 2074 - State Data Processing -
