House Bill No. 1884 - Public School Construction Loans

AN ACT concerning

Public School Construction Loans

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the State from deducting
funds due a county under certain provisions of State
law if those funds are deducted because of certain
public school construction loans that the county is no
longer required to repay.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1884.

This till prohibits the State from deducting funds due
to a county under certain provisions of State law if those
funds are deducted because of certain public school
construction loans that the county is no longer required to
repay.

Senate Bill 898, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 16, 1978, accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
1884.
