certain provisions that relate to regaining of certain
credit; numbering certain provisions; and generally
relating to certain retirement systems.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1333.

This bill deletes certain provisions that relate to
membership in the Employees' Retirement System, to
participation in certain local retirement systems by certain
persons, and to certain prior service credit.

Senate Bill 1156, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 16, 1978, accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
1333.
