House Bill No. 909 - Blind Industries and Services of
Maryland — Board of Trustees

AN ACT concerning

Blind Industries and Services of Maryland —
Payment Board of Trustees

FOR the purpose of requiring the promulgation of regulations
relating to the powers of the Board of Trustees of the
Blind Industries and Services of Maryland; clarifying
certain amounts to be paid to the Maryland School for
the Blind by the counties and Baltimore City; and
deleting certain archaic references to blind or colored

deaf persons.

FOR the purpose of correcting an erroneous statutory

reference to the governing body of the Blind Industries
and Services of Maryland.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 909.

This bill corrects an erroneous statutory reference to
the governing body of the Blind Industries and Services of
Maryland.

Senate Bill 852, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 16, 1978, accomplishes the
same purpose and is grammatically more correct.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
909.
