VETOES

Since the purpose of House Bill 310 is accomplished by
the enactment and signing of Senate Bill 551, it is
unnecessary for me to sign House Bill 310.

Sincerely,
Blair Lee III
Acting Governor

House Bill No. 322 - Creation of a State Debt -
Oxon Hill Manor

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt — Oxon Hill Manor

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt
in the amount of $300,000, the proceeds to be used as a
grant to the Maryland—National Capital Park and

Planning Commission for the restoration, and

rehabilitation, and equipping including built—in

equipment of the Oxon Hill Manor in Oxon Hill,

Maryland; specifying certain conditions for these

loans; and providing generally for the issue and sale
of bonds evidencing the loan.

May 29, 1978
Honorable John Hanson Briscoe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 322.

This bill authorizes the creation of a State Debt as a
grant to the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning
Commission for the restoration of the Oxon Hill Manor.

Senate Bill 350, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 29, 1978, accomplishes the
same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign House Bill
322.

Sincerely,
