Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 343.

This bill requires certain nonresident drivers to

obtain a nonresident's permit from the Motor Vehicle

Administration.
House Bill 306, which was enacted by the General

Assembly and signed by me on May 16, 1978, accomplishes the

same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill
343.

AN ACT concerning

Juvenile Court Records

FOR the purpose of altering the age of juveniles regarding
sealing and expunging records in juvenile causes.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill 354.

This bill lowers the age specified in the provisions of
law which authorize the expungement of certain types of
records in juvenile cases in which certain adjudications
were not made.
