Ch. 22

The present language relating to the terms of the
members serving on July 1, 1969, or appointed to
new vacancies in 1970 is deleted as obsolete.

The present language specifying that a student
member's term is 1 year "unless the term
terminates sooner ..." is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.

As to subsection (e)(1) of this section, the
terms of the appointed nonstudent members serving
as of July 1, 1978 expire as follows: two in
1979, four in 1980, two in 1981, two in 1982, and
two in 1983.

13-103. CHAIRMAN AND OTHER OFFICERS; MEETINGS.

(A)   CHAIRMAN.

EACH YEAR, THE BOARD OF REGENTS SHALL ELECT FROM AMONG
ITS MEMBERS:

(1)   A CHAIRMAN; AND

(2)   ANY OTHER OFFICER IT REQUIRES.

(B)   MEETINGS.

(1)   THE BOARD SHALL DETERMINE THE TIME AND PLACE
OF ITS MEETINGS AND MAY ADOPT RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF ITS
MEETINGS.

(2)    THE GOVERNOR, THE STATE TREASURER, AND THE
STATE COMPTROLLER SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ALL MEETINGS OF THE
BOARD AND MAY SIT WITH THE BOARD AT ANY MEETING.

(3)   THE SECRETARY OF BUDGET AND FISCAL PLANNING,
THE CHAIRMEN OF THE SENATE FINANCE AND BUDGET AND TAXATION
COMMITTEES, AND THE CHAIRMEN OF THE HOUSE WAYS AND MEANS AND
APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEES SHALL BE INVITED TO SIT WITH THE
BOARD AT ANY MEETINGS OF THE BOARD AT WHICH REQUESTS FOR
APPROPRIATIONS ARE PREPARED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a) and (b)(1) of this
section are new language added for clarity.

Subsections (b) (2) and (3) of this section
presently appear as Art. 77A, §15(e) (4).

The only changes are in style.
