Ch. 22

(A)   RECORDS TO BE FURNISHED.

BEFORE ANY INSTITUTION OF POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION
OPERATING IN THIS STATE DISCONTINUES OPERATION, ITS CHIEF
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER SHALL FILE WITH THE STATE BOARD FOR
HIGHER EDUCATION THE ORIGINAL OR LEGIBLE COPIES OF ALL
ESSENTIAL RECORDS OF THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF ALL FORMER
STUDENTS OF THE INSTITUTION.

(B)   FORM OF RECORDS.

THE RECORDS SHALL PRESENT, AS SEPARATE DOCUMENTS:

(1) THE ACADEMIC RECORD OF EACH FORMER STUDENT;
AND

{2) ANY OTHER ACADEMIC INFORMATION USUALLY
REQUIRED BY INSTITUTIONS OF POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION WHEN
CONSIDERING STUDENTS FOR TRANSFER OR ADVANCED STUDY.

(C)   BOARD TO MAINTAIN RECORDS.

THE BOARD SHALL MAINTAIN A PERMANENT FILE OF ALL
RECORDS FILED WITH IT UNDER THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77A, §32A(h).

The only changes are in style.

Presumably, the references to "former" students
includes all students for which records exist;
since the school is discontinuing operations, all
its students are presumably "former".

SUBTITLE 3- SOLICITATION OF STUDENTS.

12-301. DEFINITIONS.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(1) "SCHOOL" MEANS AN APPROVED PRIVATE
POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTION LOCATED OUTSIDE THIS
STATE, THAT CHARGES TUITION OR FEES TO STUDENTS IN THIS
STATE FOR ATTENDANCE OR INSTRUCTION IN A PROGRAM OF:

(I) TRADE OR TECHNICAL EDUCATION; OR
