No. 53* (Senate Joint Resolution 17) A Senate Joint Resolution concerning CETA Funds - Use at State and local Level FOR the purpose of requesting the preparation of a WHEREAS, $109 million was distributed to Baltimore City WHEREAS, The prime aim of these funds is to provide job WHEREAS, These funds are administered through the WHEREAS, The majority of jobs created are in the public WHEREAS, Approximately ten of 3500 jobs in the Baltimore metropolitan area went to politically well connected people; and WHEREAS, There is no regulation which bars CETA workers WHEREAS, There has never been a comprehensive statewide RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the Honorable Blair Lee III, Acting Governor and to Mrs. Marian Pines, Director of the Mayor's Office of Manpower, 701 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.
