SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter _____ of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1978) be repealed, amended, or enacted to read
as follows:

Article — Education

13-104.

(a) In addition to any other powers granted and
duties imposed by this subtitle, and subject [only] to the
provisions of Title 12 of this article and any other
restrictions imposed [on the University of Maryland] by law,
or by any trust agreement involving a pledge of property or
money, the Board of Regents has the powers and duties set
forth in this section.

SECTION 2, AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1978.

AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County - Bingo
MC 225-78

FOR the purpose of allowing certain nonprofit organizations
and individuals to operate bingo in Montgomery County;
providing for certain residency requirements;
prohibiting sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages
in the same room during operation of or intermission
between bingo games; authorizing the Montgomery County
Department of Environmental Protection to promulgate
rules and regulations; providing penalties for
violation of laws relating to bingo regulations; and
generally relating to the operation of bingo in
Montgomery County.
